Ecommerce Technical Architect
Responsibilities:
- Design and Architect solutions in a global landscape that supports the enterprise roadmap
- Work closely with Line of Business leaders to shape business solutions and ensure adherence to Group IT roadmaps and best practices
- Supports offshore teams with project deliverables and design best practices
- Mentors teams with code quality, including automation tools e.g. Sonar.
- Designs web applications and web services in a modular, scalable and reusable manner
- Architects API approach, including security, performance and reuse patterns and tools (e.g. swagger)
- Helps scope projects by providing detailed development time estimates
- Utilises various application integration techniques to communicate with third party and legacy/back-end systems
- Assists with development of technical design documentation including UML, ERD and other design artifacts
- Performance tunes and troubleshoots large scale web applications
Requirements:
Essential Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience defining, designing, and developing eCommerce applications
- Experience on multiple versions of ATG (minimum ATG 11)
- Experience with large-scale high-volume e-commerce application design, development, and deployment
- Detailed knowledge of Event Driven Architecture, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), JMS Messaging, Object Oriented Analysis and Design/Development (OOA/OOD)
- Knowledge of the following: Java EE/J2EE, XML, SOAP, Web Services, JAX-RS, Web user interface, Integration with ERP applications (AX/SAP) and other business applications via middleware, Oracle or SQL Server
- Java open-source technologies and frameworks such as Hibernate, Struts, Spring, or JSF.
- JBOSS and Apache Servers running on Linux
- Continuous Integration technologies, Jenkins, Maven, RepliWeb
- Performance and load testing experience with JMeter, New Relic
- Should have worked on long term assignments with international customers
Desirable Skills:
- Should have worked on long term assignments with international customers
- Strong business knowledge and experience in Food, Beverages, FMCG or related industry would be an added benefit.
- Exposure to direct marketing organisations, and wine and spirits.
- Experience with internationalisation modules for ATG.
- Development workflow tools JIRA, confluence
- Microservices and Serverless an advantage
