Ecommerce Technical Architect

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Architect solutions in a global landscape that supports the enterprise roadmap
  2. Work closely with Line of Business leaders to shape business solutions and ensure adherence to Group IT roadmaps and best practices
  3. Supports offshore teams with project deliverables and design best practices
  4. Mentors teams with code quality, including automation tools e.g. Sonar.
  5. Designs web applications and web services in a modular, scalable and reusable manner
  6. Architects API approach, including security, performance and reuse patterns and tools (e.g. swagger)
  7. Helps scope projects by providing detailed development time estimates
  8. Utilises various application integration techniques to communicate with third party and legacy/back-end systems
  9. Assists with development of technical design documentation including UML, ERD and other design artifacts
  10. Performance tunes and troubleshoots large scale web applications

Requirements:

  • Preferable degree in Engineering, Technology or Computer Science or related field, otherwise other equivalent qualifications, and relative work experience.

  • Essential Skills:

    1. 5+ years’ experience defining, designing, and developing eCommerce applications
    2. Experience on multiple versions of ATG (minimum ATG 11)
    3. Experience with large-scale high-volume e-commerce application design, development, and deployment
    4. Detailed knowledge of Event Driven Architecture, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), JMS Messaging, Object Oriented Analysis and Design/Development (OOA/OOD)
    5. Knowledge of the following: Java EE/J2EE, XML, SOAP, Web Services, JAX-RS, Web user interface, Integration with ERP applications (AX/SAP) and other business applications via middleware, Oracle or SQL Server
    6. Java open-source technologies and frameworks such as Hibernate, Struts, Spring, or JSF.
    7. JBOSS and Apache Servers running on Linux
    8. Continuous Integration technologies, Jenkins, Maven, RepliWeb
    9. Performance and load testing experience with JMeter, New Relic
    10. Should have worked on long term assignments with international customers

    Desirable Skills:

    1. Should have worked on long term assignments with international customers
    2. Strong business knowledge and experience in Food, Beverages, FMCG or related industry would be an added benefit.
    3. Exposure to direct marketing organisations, and wine and spirits.
    4. Experience with internationalisation modules for ATG.
    5. Development workflow tools JIRA, confluence
    6. Microservices and Serverless an advantage
